As a business, we recognise that our actions and decisions affect the health of the planet. We are committed to ensuring that impact is a positive one. This is why we operate a responsible and sustainable business, fostering growth and collaboration with our employees, partners, and the communities we serve, working together to create a healthier world for all.

Our sustainability approach is integral to our business strategy.

Our sustainability approach is a core component of our business strategy. By engaging with both internal and external stakeholders and incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into our decision-making processes,
we aim to enhance long-term company value. Additionally, by attracting and retaining top-tier talent, we are committed to building on our strong reputation and positioning ourselves as leaders within the SME segment of the market.

Our 3 Pillars of Sustainability

For sustainability to be effectively integrated into our business strategy, it must encompass how we care for our people, ensure the competitiveness of our business, and act responsibly in all our decisions and actions.

Consilient Health has set a science-based target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

science-img

The latest climate science from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – described by the United Nations (UN) as “code red for humanity” – shows the urgency for action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C. Consilient Health recognises the importance of rapid and deep emission cuts and our own responsibility as a business.

Consilient Health is proud to have set its science-based target to reduce greenhouse emissions. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF). The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets, which are published on their website.

Emissions reduction targets

To set meaningful targets based on science and in line with the Paris Agreement some of them (where possible for a SME company) have been validated by the SBTi in December 2022.

The SBTi has validated Consilient Health’s near and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets, facilitating a robust approach to decarbonisation:

  • Consilient Health commits to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 green house gas (GHG) emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2021 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
  • Consilient Health commits to reduce scope 1+2+3 emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2021 base year.

By meeting both targets, and neutralising residual emissions from 2050 and beyond, Consilient Health will meet Net-Zero.

In addition to the above SBTi-validated targets, Consilient Health has set further goals. These are not validated by the SBTi, nor by any other third party, but were deemed important by Consilient Health to contribute to meaningful emission reductions and take full responsibility for our climate impact.

Consilient Health commits to:

  • reduce aggregated emissions from business travel, commuting, operational waste, and downstream distribution by 22.5% between 2021 to 2030
  • achieving Net-Zero by 2050
  • engage 30% of suppliers with climate-related activities by 2025, and
  • engage all suppliers by 2030 and demonstrate intention to reduce emissions from purchased goods & services and capital goods by implementing climate-related supplier onboarding pre-requisites.

Progress on validated and non-validated targets will be reported on an annual basis.

Consilient Health is proud to announce that we have achieved CSR-A Gold Accreditation, recognising our commitment to responsible business practices, sustainability, and strong governance.

This Gold standard reflects measurable progress across environmental management, ethical supply chains, workplace practices, governance, and community engagement. It demonstrates our structured approach to embedding sustainability into our strategy and daily operations.

As a pharmaceutical company operating across the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, we recognise our responsibility within the healthcare value chain. Achieving CSR-A Gold reinforces our commitment to reducing environmental impact, strengthening supplier engagement, maintaining transparent governance, and acting as a trusted partner to healthcare providers, the NHS, and commercial customers.

Sustainability at Consilient Health is fully integrated into how we make decisions and deliver value. Our carbon reduction roadmap sets clear long-term targets aligned with our Net Zero ambitions, and we remain focused on continuous improvement across our operations and partnerships.

This accreditation marks an important milestone — and we look forward to building on this progress as we continue to grow as a responsible and purpose-driven organisation.
